ABRAKA, Delta State As students of Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka prepare for the
commencement of their examinations, Living Faith Church (Winners\u2019 Chapel), Ekrejeta, Abraka,
has extended an invitation to students to attend a special Sunday service where the Pen of
Excellence will be shared as a symbol of faith, divine wisdom and academic success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


According to the church, the special service is designed to encourage students to remain diligent
in their studies while seeking God\u2019s guidance as they prepare to write their examinations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


The church emphasized that success in examinations comes through a combination of adequate
preparation, discipline and prayer. Students were encouraged not to rely solely on the symbolic
pen but to devote enough time to reading, revising their lecture notes and attending revision
classes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking ahead of the programme, church leaders said the Pen of Excellence represents a point
of contact for faith, reminding students to trust God for wisdom, understanding and outstanding
results throughout the examination period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is an opportunity for students to commit their academic journey into God\u2019s hands. We
encourage every student to study hard, remain focused and seek divine direction as they
prepare for their examinations, a church official said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Several students who received the invitation welcomed the initiative, describing it as timely,
especially as examination pressure continues to build across the university.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


A 300level student, Esther Oghene, said the programme would provide spiritual encouragement
alongside academic preparation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Examinations can be stressful, but attending church gives me peace of mind. I\u2019ll continue
reading seriously, but I also believe prayer gives confidence and strength, she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another student, Divine Akpoveta, noted that many students combine academic effort with
prayer during examination periods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reading is important, but as Christians, we also pray for God\u2019s wisdom and favour. I think this
programme will encourage many students to remain hopeful, he added. With examinations
drawing closer, libraries, reading centres and hostels across DELSU have witnessed increased
academic activity as students spend long hours preparing for their papers. The church urged all
students to attend the special Sunday service, reminding them that excellence is achieved
through hard work, faith and perseverance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


The Pen of Excellence service is expected to attract a large number of students from different
faculties as they seek both academic preparedness and spiritual encouragement before the start
of their examinations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
