The Students\u2019 Union Government (SUG) of Delta State University Students\u2019 Union Government,
led by President Comrade Kingsley Dumuje, successfully organized the SNERGY 2026 Rally aimed at celebrating students and promoting unity across the university community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking during the event, Comrade Dumuje explained that the theme \u201cSNERGY 2026\u201d was
created to bring students together through cultural activities, sports, entertainment, and social
interactions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to him, the rally served as a platform for students from different cultural
groups to unite and interact with members of staff, fellow students, and the university
management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He noted that students would benefit from the rally by having opportunities to meet and relate
with people they normally would not have access to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also revealed that the organizing
committee faced some challenges, including transportation, renting equipment, securing
speakers, and publicity for the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, he expressed gratitude that the rally was
peaceful and successful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following the rally procession around Abraka, the SUG executives returned to Campus II for the
Students\u2019 Cultural Fiesta, where students appeared in colorful cultural attire representing
Nigeria\u2019s rich and diverse heritage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also speaking, SUG Director of Finance, Comr Emma Idudhe, stated that the purpose of
the rally was to show students that they have a voice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Idudhe explained that the procession around
Abraka was meant to demonstrate the union\u2019s support for students while spreading the
message that leadership matters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to him, the rally encouraged leadership, inspiration, and unity among students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He stressed that education goes beyond attending classes, as students must also develop
leadership qualities and actively participate in shaping their future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Idudhe encouraged students to take part in student union activities to better understand their
leaders, university administrators, and decision-makers responsible for policies affecting the
student body.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On security arrangements, he disclosed that the university\u2019s Chief Security Officer (CSO),
security personnel, and an ambulance team were deployed throughout the event to ensure the
safety of participants and provide emergency support when necessary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The rally took place from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., following designated routes within Abraka and
the university environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The SUG officials also advised students to avoid political apathy, embrace leadership opportunities, uphold personal values, and make the most of their university experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Students were assured of an exciting SUG Week filled with positive energy, entertainment,
inspiration, and impactful programs. Activities lined up for the week included a praise night,
bonfire, cultural displays, and other social events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other SUG officials encouraged students to participate fully in future activities, noting that
attendees enjoyed free branded polo shirts, refreshments, and several other benefits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
