MTN Pulse’s “100 Experience” had taken over Delta State University’s Abraka campus, which drew a large crowds for a three-day interval featuring live entertainment, gaming zones, and a prize lineup that includes a car, a refrigerator, a microwave, and a laptops.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event, which ran through June 17 to 19, was themed around doing everything “on 100” and combines parties, on-site shopping, and interactive entertainment across multiple zones on campus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Branded canopies, sound systems, and activity booths occupied stretches of campus that were ordinarily used for nothing more than foot traffic between lecture halls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The activation was structured around several activity zones rather than a single stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Students was seen moving between gaming section, a live entertainment area, and a retail zone offering merchandise and other items, giving the event a spread-out, all-day feel rather than a single scheduled show.
That layout appeared to be designed to keep different sections of the student population engaged at different time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Students drawn in by music and performances gather near the entertainment stage, while others gravitate toward the gaming booths or spend time browsing the shopping stalls set up alongside the main activity areas. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The result was a campus that, for the duration ,functioned like a place of study and more like an open festival ground, with movement and noise levels that stood in sharp contrast to a typical academic week.
The prize lineup appeared to be a major draw of the activation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MTN is offered a brand-new car, a refrigerator, a microwave, a laptop, and several other items to lucky participants, staked high enough to have pulled in students who might otherwise have skipped the festivities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to organizers, prize winners would be selected through activities held across the different zones, though MTN had not released full details on the exact selection criteria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That had not slowed participation, as students had continued moving between stations throughout the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For many students, the timing of the event mattered much as its content.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I didn’t sleep properly last night because of the energy on campus,” said Prince Egbafamuno, a 100-level student in the Faculty of Arts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“This is the biggest thing that’s happened here this semester.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His comment reflected a mood that had been visible across campus , noticeably heightened compared to a typical week in this part of the semester, the event drew crowds for fun rather than the occasional foot traffic that same spaces usually see.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For a student population that spends much of the semester managing coursework, tests, and the general pressure of academic deadlines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The presence of large crowds throughout the day, rather than just during a single evening show, suggested the event had managed to hold student attention well beyond its opening hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This event went through June 19, with entry open to all students regardless of faculty or level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When the final day approached attention on campus was expected to shift toward the prize announcements, the part of the event many students say they had been anticipating since it began.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Whether the “100 Experience” returns to DELSU in subsequent years or not, its effect on campus life had been difficult to ignore. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
