Even Jesus Christ the Lord after fasting for forty days and night, had to eat food”.

This highlights the importance of healthy living as believers are encouraged to honour God by taking proper care of the body.

Speaking at the event, the guest speaker Pastor Efe added saying “Even our father in heaven wishes good for us and not evil.

“Faith and professional care can work together.”

One participant, Joshua Onome said the program changed his understanding of mental health.

He attributed the shift in perspective to Pastor Righteous’ illustration based on the life and teachings of Jesus Christ, describing it rightful and impactful.

The seminar ended with an interactive question-and- answer section during which students discussed practical ways religious organizations can support members facing emotional and psychological challenges.

This led to the establishment of a religious guidance and counseling body aimed at supporting students’ mental, emotional, and psychological well-being.

According to the organizers, the body will provide faith-based guidance counseling and support to help students cope with personal and academic challenges.

By Joel Efetobore Erhirhie Religious leaders have called on students of Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka to pay greater attention to their mental health while maintaining a strong spiritual life.
