Residents and youths in Abraka gathered in large numbers on Friday, June 5, 2026<\/strong>, for a spiritual experience at Grace and Power Christian Embassy Worldwide<\/strong>, opposite UBA Bank, Ekrejeta, during the fifth edition of the annual Hour of Worship (H.O.W.)<\/strong>, themed “Breathe.”<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event, hosted by the gospel music group De Ambassadors Voices<\/strong>, went beyond a conventional church service, creating an atmosphere of worship, reflection, and heartfelt prayers for Nigeria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking during the programme, a member of De Ambassadors Voices, Minister Samuel Olusegun<\/strong>, challenged the congregation to rethink their understanding of worship. He said true worship is not defined by musical performance or outward religious activities but by the condition of one’s heart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Drawing from Romans 6:16<\/strong>, Olusegun stated that “whatever gets our attention the most is who or what we worship.” He urged Nigerians to move beyond being mere churchgoers and become genuine disciples of Christ, stressing that authentic worship is reflected in a person’s inner life rather than external actions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Expanding on the programme’s theme, Minister Raphael<\/strong> explained that the “breath” referred to in the theme symbolizes the life of God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“When we become true worshippers, God breathes His life into us,” he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To reinforce the message, De Ambassadors Voices<\/strong> presented a drama depicting how God restores the spiritual “breath” of individuals who wholeheartedly commit themselves to true worship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a post-event interview, Minister Olusegun revealed that the Hour of Worship<\/strong> was established as an annual vision to provide a dedicated atmosphere where people can encounter God. According to him, this year’s theme, “Breathe,”<\/strong> was inspired by the biblical account of God breathing life into humanity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“God breathed into us to give us life so that we can reflect His nature,” he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Addressing the nation’s current economic and social challenges, Olusegun encouraged Nigerians to return to God, love Him sincerely, and seek Him wholeheartedly. He reiterated his call for people to become true disciples rather than merely attending church services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Jesus is calling us back to Him. No matter your sins, He will never cast you away,” he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many participants described the programme as spiritually uplifting. One attendee, Miss Ifeoma Victoria<\/strong>, said the experience exceeded her expectations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“It was a life-changing experience. I thought it would just be about singing, but it was much more than that. I am glad I came,” she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the fifth edition successfully concluded, the organisers expressed optimism that, by God’s grace, the Hour of Worship<\/strong> will return next year with an even greater mission of transforming lives through worship and spiritual renewal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
