Nigeria defeated Zimbabwe 2\u20130 before recording a convincing 3\u20130 victory over Jamaica to claim the title.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The team later faced tougher opposition in Europe, where they secured a 2\u20132 draw against Poland before losing 2\u20131 to Portugal in a competitive encounter in Leiria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Although the results produced mixed reactions from supporters, Nigeria\u2019s consistency under Chelle helped the team maintain its position on the global ranking table.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The unchanged ranking provides encouragement for the coaching team as preparations continue for upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualification matches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the continental level, Morocco remains Africa\u2019s highest-ranked team, occupying the seventh position globally. Senegal follows in second place among African nations, while Nigeria, Algeria and Egypt complete the continent\u2019s top five football teams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the top of the global rankings, Argentina have returned to the number-one position.
