The Association of Theatre Arts Students (ATAS), Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, on Saturday organised a colourful cosplay showcase aimed at promoting creativity, artistic expression, and student interaction through fashion and performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event, which commenced at about 10 a.m., attracted students from different departments who gathered to witness participants display costumes inspired by popular fictional characters from films, comics, animation, and other forms of popular culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The cosplay showcase featured a wide variety of imaginative costumes, highlighting the creativity, craftsmanship, and dedication involved in costume design, makeup, and character portrayal. The event reflected the growing popularity of cosplay as a creative art form that combines fashion, theatre, and visual storytelling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to the costume parade, participants staged drama performances that entertained spectators while demonstrating the acting skills and stagecraft of Theatre Arts students. The blend of live performances and cosplay created an exciting atmosphere, attracting large crowds of students who stopped to watch, interact with the performers, and take photographs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Photography was another major highlight of the programme, as participants and spectators captured memorable moments throughout the event. The photo sessions showcased the creativity behind the costumes while allowing students to celebrate and preserve memories of the occasion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the most exciting segments of the event was the local dialect competition, where contestants demonstrated fluency and confidence in speaking their indigenous languages.
