Construction workers were seen repainting the building, repairing cracked walls, replacing damaged doors and windows, installing electrical fittings, and carrying out general maintenance on various sections of the hostel. Building materials, including cement, sand, paint and other construction equipment, were also observed on the premises, indicating that work is still ongoing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Residents said the project was overdue, noting that several parts of the hostel had deteriorated over the years due to ageing infrastructure and inadequate maintenance. They expressed optimism that the renovation would address many of the challenges they had experienced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;We are happy that something is finally being done. The hostel will become more comfortable and attractive when the renovation is completed,&#8221; a student resident who requested anonymity said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Another student acknowledged that the renovation had caused temporary inconveniences, including noise, dust and restricted access to some parts of the hostel, but said the benefits would outweigh the short-term discomfort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;The work has affected our daily routine a little, but we understand that it is for a good cause. We are looking forward to a better place to live,&#8221; the student said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Students noted that improved hostel facilities would enhance their welfare by providing a safer, cleaner and more comfortable environment that supports academic activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They also appealed to the contractors to maintain high construction standards and complete the project within the agreed timeframe.
