{"id":2284,"date":"2026-07-26T00:29:54","date_gmt":"2026-07-25T23:29:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mediaconversation.com\/?p=2284"},"modified":"2026-07-26T00:29:56","modified_gmt":"2026-07-25T23:29:56","slug":"estate-directorate-emerges-as-new-administrative-unit-in-delsu-campus-i","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mediaconversation.com\/?p=2284","title":{"rendered":"Estate Directorate Emerges As New Administrative Unit In DELSU Campus I"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>By Agunze Onah<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Delta State University (DELSU) has established a new administrative unit known as the <strong>Estate Directorate<\/strong>, following its separation from the Works and Services Department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Works and Services Department previously consisted of four units: Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Estate Management, and Mechanical Engineering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The directorate was created on March 14, 2026, following the expansion of the Estate Unit. It now operates directly under the Office of the Vice-Chancellor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Estate Directorate is responsible for labour services and land management within the university. It also oversees the activities of cleaners, gardeners, and both senior and junior staff in matters relating to estate management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Although the directorate is still developing, it is estimated to have about 100 staff members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Speaking on the development, the Director of the Estate Directorate, <strong>Mr. E.S.V. Enaohwo Anthony<\/strong>, recalled his initial reaction when he was first posted to the unit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;We are property managers, land managers, and building managers.
