{"id":2428,"date":"2026-07-28T09:04:02","date_gmt":"2026-07-28T08:04:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mediaconversation.com\/?p=2428"},"modified":"2026-07-28T09:04:03","modified_gmt":"2026-07-28T08:04:03","slug":"vice-chancellor-attends-sug-hallmark-of-a-comrade-programme-at-delsu","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mediaconversation.com\/?p=2428","title":{"rendered":"Vice Chancellor Attends SUG Hallmark Of A Comrade Programme At DELSU"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>By Esther Nwoye<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Vice Chancellor of Delta State University (DELSU), Professor Samuel Ogheneovo Asagba, attended the Hallmark of a Comrade programme organized by the Students&#8217; Union Government (SUG) on July 15, 2025, at the Faculty of Management Sciences (FMS) Large Hall, Site III.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On arrival, the Vice Chancellor received a warm welcome from student leaders, who commended him for what they described as his student-friendly leadership and commitment to the development of the university.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In his address, Professor Asagba praised the Chairman of the Hallmark of a Comrade Committee, Comrade Efe Eyela Kelvin, alongside other organizers, for putting together a programme aimed at educating and empowering students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Speaking on reforms introduced under his administration, the Vice Chancellor explained that the university had digitized several administrative processes to improve efficiency and eliminate the challenges previously experienced during physical registration and screening exercises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to him, students can now complete several academic processes online, including printing documents, generating school fees receipts, and checking examination results through the DELSU portal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Professor Asagba also announced the introduction of four new faculties as part of the university&#8217;s academic expansion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He further disclosed that the university administration had undertaken the renovation of some hostels by addressing challenges such as leaking water facilities and inadequate water supply to improve students&#8217; living conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Vice Chancellor also noted that graduating students would increasingly benefit from digital services, with several post-graduation processes accessible through the university&#8217;s online portal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He commended the organizers for the impressive turnout and reaffirmed his commitment to supporting similar programmes that contribute to students&#8217; educational development, leadership training, and overall well-being.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Professor Asagba concluded by encouraging students to continue participating in educational and leadership initiatives, emphasizing that such engagements complement academic learning and prepare students for future responsibilities.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Esther Nwoye The Vice Chancellor of Delta State University (DELSU), Professor Samuel Ogheneovo Asagba, attended the Hallmark of a Comrade programme organized by the Students&#8217; Union Government (SUG) on July 15, 2025, at the Faculty of Management Sciences (FMS) Large Hall, Site III.
