More than 200 students gathered for a gospel outreach organised by Christ Embassy Campus Ministry at Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, where participants were encouraged to deepen their faith in Jesus Christ through worship, prayer, fellowship, and the preaching of the gospel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking in an interview at the event, Pastor Destiny, the organiser, said the programme was designed to share the message of Jesus Christ with as many students as possible while creating an atmosphere for worship, fellowship, and discussions on academic success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to him, the theme, “This Gospel,”<\/strong> was carefully chosen to make the purpose of the programme clear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We wanted everyone to understand that this programme is all about Jesus Christ. The gospel is the good news that brings hope and salvation to everyone who hears it. Our desire is that people will come to know Christ, give their lives to Him, and experience His blessings,” he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pastor Destiny explained that beyond the preaching of the Word, the outreach provided students with opportunities to pray about their personal lives, academic pursuits, and future aspirations. He noted that thanksgiving, healing prayers, and fellowship were also major highlights of the programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The impact of this programme is enormous. Students had the opportunity to pray concerning the challenges they are facing, thank God for His faithfulness, and fellowship with other believers. Those who had not yet accepted Christ also had the opportunity to receive Him, while prayers were offered for those trusting God for healing and other miracles,” he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The pastor also explained why free transportation and meals were provided for participants. According to him, the organisers wanted every student to attend without worrying about transportation costs or food.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We wanted to give freely without placing any financial burden on students. Many of them come directly from lectures and may not have enough time to return home before the programme. Providing transportation and food was our way of showing God’s love and ensuring that everyone could participate comfortably,” he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although attendance exceeded 200 students, Pastor Destiny revealed that the organisers had anticipated about 500 participants. Nevertheless, he described the turnout as encouraging and stressed that the event was open to everyone, especially non-members, who were invited to hear the gospel and receive salvation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He further disclosed that prayers were offered not only for those present but also for the entire university community, including students, lecturers, and the institution’s management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For students who could not attend, Pastor Destiny invited them to Christ Embassy’s Sunday worship service at 8:00 a.m.<\/strong> along Campus 4 Road and at the NDDC Hall, describing it as a continuation of the outreach and an opportunity to experience God’s presence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Looking ahead, he announced that the ministry is preparing for another major programme titled “Fire For The Future,”<\/strong> alongside several other outreach events that will be unveiled in due course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the participants, Quest Onyema Abigail, said she learnt about the programme through church publicity and decided to attend because she believed it would positively impact her spiritual life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She described the worship session as the most meaningful aspect of the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I was able to worship God in spirit and in truth, and it was a life-transforming experience,” she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Abigail added that one of the key lessons she received was that the gospel of Jesus Christ possesses supernatural power to transform lives and that God works all things together for the good of those who trust Him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She also noted that programmes of this nature are beneficial to students because they strengthen faith and remind young people that God is interested in every aspect of their lives, including their academics, finances, and future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Encouraging other students to participate in similar programmes, she said the Word of God has the power to change lives and circumstances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I encourage every student to attend programmes like this because there is always a word from God for everyone. I also want to appreciate Christ Embassy and Pastor Destiny for organising such a wonderful programme. I look forward to even more impactful programmes in the future,” she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The outreach concluded with prayers for the university community, worship, and fellowship, leaving many participants inspired and reaffirming the organisers’ commitment to spreading the message of Christ across the DELSU campus.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
