While the Diploma in Education is designed to provide aspiring educators with professional teaching qualifications, the PGDE caters to graduates from other disciplines who intend to pursue careers in the education sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition to these programmes, the Institute runs certificate, sandwich, and in-service training programmes aimed at enhancing the knowledge, teaching skills, and professional competence of teachers and other education practitioners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Institute also undertakes educational research and community outreach activities to promote quality education across Delta State and Nigeria. These initiatives are intended to strengthen educational practice while supporting continuous professional development within the teaching profession.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Institute traces its roots to the former Government Teachers Training College, Abraka, which later became the College of Education, Abraka.
