Professor Samuel Ogheneovo Asagba, the VC of Delta State University , DELSU, has demonstrated his commitment to student’s welfare by overseeing the successful refund of NELFUND institutional loan to the recent batch of eligible beneficiaries. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The delay in the refund of institutional loan caused student to fret and become unease.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The completion of the payment exercise marks another milestone in the university’s efforts in making sure that no qualified student is left behind in benefiting from the disbursed funds. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Under the Vice-Chancellor’s leadership, relevant university units worked together to verify beneficiaries’ records, resolve administrative issues, and facilitate the smooth release of these funds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The coordinated effort involved the Bursary Department, Student Affairs Division, ICT Unit, and other relevant offices, all of which collaborated to ensure the exercise was transparent, efficient, and free from avoidable delays. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The university worked diligently to resolve the issue and maintain constant communication between the students and university. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Their efforts helped guarantee that eligible students were not excluded and invariably created more awareness about the programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A 100-level student from biochemistry Ayiri Success states “it is nice receiving the refund of my school fees” she says. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The payment of the recent batch of beneficiaries is expected to provide financial relief to students, helping them meet their essential academic and personal expenses such as transportation, accommodation, feeding, and the purchase of study materials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
By ensuring the successful payment of the final beneficiaries, the Vice-Chancellor has demonstrated the university’s commitment and concern to student’s welfare, while strengthening confidence in the implementation of the NELFUND initiative at Delta State University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
