The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Abraka, hosted a three-day revival programme titled “The Kingdom of Heaven,” bringing together worshippers from different RCCG parishes and zones, as well as other Christian faithful, for a period of prayer, worship, biblical teaching, drama and spiritual reflection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The programme recorded a large turnout throughout its three days, with participants actively engaging in the various activities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event featured prayer sessions, gospel music, drama presentations and sermons aimed at encouraging Christian living and strengthening participants’ faith.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Day One: Prayer and Spiritual Revival<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The opening day focused on prayer, worship and spiritual revival. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The programme began with an energetic praise and worship session led by invited gospel ministers, creating an atmosphere of reverence and expectation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ministers led prayers on repentance, restoration, mercy, healing, favour and breakthroughs, while members of the congregation participated enthusiastically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A guest minister, who is also a professor, delivered a message encouraging worshippers to develop a closer relationship with God while maintaining godly character in their daily lives. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

His teaching combined biblical principles with practical lessons on Christian living.The service concluded with prayers for individuals. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many participants said the programme renewed their faith and encouraged them to remain steadfast in their Christian walk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Day Two: Drama Ministration Highlights Christian Values<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The second day featured drama ministrations presented by different drama groups to communicate biblical teachings through practical life experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the major presentations, titled “Power of the Tongue,” told the story of a young man named Matthew who sought God’s intervention for financial success. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The drama explored themes of repentance, forgiveness, the consequences of negative words and the importance of faith in Jesus Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The presentation portrayed how words spoken in anger could have lasting effects and emphasized the need for Christians to speak positively and trust in God. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The audience responded enthusiastically, especially during scenes that encouraged participants to reflect on their faith.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another drama, performed in the Benin language, blended local culture with biblical teachings, promoting righteous living, faithfulness and obedience to God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the end of the performances, organisers engaged the audience in an interactive question-and-answer session. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participants shared lessons they had learned, with many highlighting the importance of speaking positive words, forgiveness, prayer and repentance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Day Three: All-Night Worship and Teaching<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The programme concluded with an all-night revival service attended by worshippers from different RCCG parishes, zones and neighbouring communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The service opened with praise and worship led by invited gospel artistes before ministers delivered sermons on “The Power of the Tongue” and “Spiritual Intercession.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The messages encouraged Christians to speak words of faith, remain committed to prayer and intercede for their families, communities, churches and the nation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Several prayer sessions followed, covering areas such as salvation, healing, restoration, family peace, academic success, career progress and national development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The programme ended with thanksgiving and appreciation from the church leadership to everyone who attended and supported the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Most people shared the lessons they gained from the programme and how it positively influenced their lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Miss Blessing Samuel, a student, said the programme taught her that words have power and should be used carefully. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

She added that she would be more mindful of what she says and always speak positively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr. Samuel Oghene, a businessman, described the prayer and worship sessions as the highlight of the programme. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to him, the sessions inspired him to pray more consistently and trust God in every situation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mrs. Esther Akpoveta, a trader, said the drama presentation on Power of the Tongue reminded her of the importance of speaking blessings instead of negative words, noting that words can have lasting effects on people’s lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Miss Grace Omovie, a student, explained that the programme strengthened her faith and motivated her to become more committed to living a Christ-centred life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr. David Erhabor, a civil servant, said the programme encouraged him to depend on God, remain faithful and never give up despite life’s challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The three-day “The Kingdom of Heaven” programme successfully brought together worshippers for a time of prayer, worship, biblical teaching and drama. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through its combination of sermons, gospel music, drama presentations and interactive sessions, the programme communicated Christian values in a practical and engaging manner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The impressive turnout and active participation throughout the event reflected its significance within the Christian community in Abraka. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many participants said they left feeling spiritually renewed, encouraged and inspired to strengthen their relationship with God. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
