Exhibition was more than an academic exercise, it was a celebration of innovation, creativity and the promise of self reliance.

Held at Site II, the annual exhibition brought together students, lecturers, university management and invited guests to witness the practical skills students have acquired through the university’s entrepreneurship programme.

Across the exhibition grounds, students of the Catering and Bread Making Unit confidently displayed an impressive variety of freshly baked bread, snacks and meals.

READ ALSO: 28-Years-Old Man that entrepreneurship extends beyond the classroom into real-life business practice.

The event attracted a steady stream of visitors who purchased products, engaged with exhibitors and applauded the quality of work on display.

The atmosphere was lively, with students combining creativity, teamwork and customer service to market their products, turning the venue into a mini trade fair.

A major highlight of the exhibition was the presence of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration), Professor Edmund Aviedo Atakpo, who reaffirmed the university management’s commitment to entrepreneurship education by donating ₦50,000 in support of the class="wp-block-paragraph">Addressing the students, Professor Edmund Aviedo Atakpo urged them to make effective use of the entrepreneurial skills they had acquired through the Centre for Entrepreneurial Studies (CES).

He encouraged them to transform the knowledge gained into viable businesses capable of creating employment opportunities and contributing to national development.

He noted that in today’s competitive economy, practical skills remain one of the surest paths to financial independence and urged participants to remain innovative, committed and determined to transform their ideas into successful ventures.

Beyond the attractive displays, students demonstrated competence in food preparation, packaging, marketing and customer relations skills essential for succeeding in the hospitality and food service industry.

More than a showcase of products, the exhibition reflected the essence of the Centre for Entrepreneurial Studies, which is equipping students with practical knowledge that complements academic learning while preparing them for life beyond the university.

As the curtains fell on the event, one message resonated strongly in the minds of the audience: in an era of increasing unemployment and uncertainty in the economy, entrepreneurship remains a powerful tool for creating opportunities.

Through initiatives like the CES Exhibition, DELSU continues to nurture graduates who are equipped not only with degrees but also with the confidence, skills and entrepreneurial mindset needed to thrive in a dynamic world.

Meanwhile, as Nigeria moves closer to the 2027 general elections, many citizens have continued to express concern over the rising insecurity in the country and how it may affect the electoral process.

The issue of insecurity has remained a major challenge in Nigeria, with cases of kidnapping, banditry, terrorism, and attacks on communities increasing in different parts of the country. This has raised questions among Nigerians about the safety of voters and the credibility of the coming election.

By Oghenemaro AdereThe enticing aroma of freshly baked bread drifted through the air as students eagerly welcomed visitors to colourful exhibition stands lined with pastries, popcorn, rich Nigerian delicacies, Ice cream and other drinks, like Zobo and Tiger nut drink. For many at Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, Tuesday’s Centre for Entrepreneurial Studies (CES) Exhibition […]

[35,1,14
31,25,26,110
post-371","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-education","category-showbiz","category-trendingnews","tag-abraka","tag-delsu","tag-education","tag-entrepreneurship
["GET
