Some others said they participated in previous elections because they believed in the candidates they supported.

However, one respondent expressed concern over possible electoral malpractice, saying the issue had dampened her interest in the forthcoming elections.

Despite this, she remained hopeful that the electoral process would be transparent and that competent leaders would emerge to govern the country in peace, unity, and progress.

The respondents generally agreed that despite existing challenges and differing opinions, many Nigerians still have faith in a free and fair democratic process as the nation draws closer to the 2027 general elections.

By Patricia Edeki The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has recorded a surge in Permanent Voter’s Card, PVC, registrations in recent weeks, a development that signals growing public interest ahead of the 2027 general elections.
