Students, lecturers, invited guests and theatre enthusiasts thronged the Theatre Arts Studio, Site III, Delta State University, DELSU, Abraka, during the institution\u2019s 17th Convocation activities to witness a stage production titled \u201cWrath of the Gods\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The play, written and directed by Prof. Chukwuma Boniface Anyanwu and presented by the Department of Theatre Arts, became one of the major highlights of the 17th convocation celebrations of Delta State University, Abraka.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Audience members arrived early to secure seats ahead of the performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From the opening scenes, the production held spectators\u2019 attention through storytelling, acting, cultural representation and stagecraft. Set in the fictional community of Umuohiagu, the drama explored themes of justice, leadership, oppression and the consequences of abusing authority.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The cast drew applause throughout the performance for convincing dialogue, emotional expression and strong stage presence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Their discipline and ability to remain in character contributed significantly to audience engagement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The production also showcased the department\u2019s technical expertise. Lighting was coordinated to enhance dramatic moments, while sound effects helped immerse the audience in the narrative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
