{"id":937,"date":"2026-07-12T20:14:01","date_gmt":"2026-07-12T19:14:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mediaconversation.com\/?p=937"},"modified":"2026-07-12T20:14:06","modified_gmt":"2026-07-12T19:14:06","slug":"night-prayer-programmes-gain-popularity-among-delsu-students","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mediaconversation.com\/?p=937","title":{"rendered":"Night Prayer Programmes Gain Popularity Among DELSU Students"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>By Okorie Jackson<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Night prayer programmes are attracting increasing numbers of students in Delta State<br>University (DELSU), Abraka, as many undergraduates turn to religious activities for<br>spiritual encouragement, emotional support and academic motivation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>Findings by this reporter indicate that churches across the university community regularly<br>organise overnight prayer meetings attended by students from different denominations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>Participants said the programmes provide opportunities for spiritual growth, fellowship and<br>encouragement while helping them cope with academic pressure and personal challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A 300-level student who attends one of the weekly prayer meetings said the gatherings had<br>strengthened her faith and improved her confidence in handling university life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>READ ALSO:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/mediaconversation.com\/?p=759\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"759\">The Price Of Distraction Onboard The Roller-Coaster Drive Of Campus Life<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;The prayers give me peace of mind.
