Newly admitted students of Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, were formally
welcomed into campus life at the 2026 Freshers’ Party, an event that brought together
hundreds of students for an evening of entertainment, networking and pageantry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


The event, held at the Nigerian Sociological and Anthropological Students’ Association
(NSASA) venue near the university campus, attracted students from different faculties and
departments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Organised by student leaders and event planners, the programme featured music
performances, dance displays, games, fashion showcases and social interactions aimed at
helping fresh students adjust to university life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Speaking during the event, one of the organisers said the programme was designed to give
new students a memorable introduction to life at DELSU while encouraging social
integration among undergraduates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/a>“The Freshers’ Party provides an opportunity for students from different backgrounds to
meet one another, build friendships and become familiar with campus life,” the organiser
said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


A major highlight of the evening was the pageantry competition, where contestants
showcased their confidence, intelligence and stage presence before a cheering audience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


At the end of the contest, Ogheneraro Faith Elohozino emerged as Face of NSASA and
also won the Miss Photogenic title.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Speaking after her victory, Elohozino described the competition as both exciting and
rewarding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The pageant gave me an opportunity to express myself, build confidence and interact with
fellow students,” she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Another contestant, Onivosa Godswill, commended the organisers for providing a platform
that enabled students to showcase their talents while building lasting friendships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


The programme ended peacefully with award presentations, photographs and
entertainment as organisers pledged to sustain activities that promote student engagement
and campus unity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
