Senator Ede Dafinone, representing Delta Central Senatorial District, has urged graduates
of Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, to contribute meaningfully to Nigeria’s
development through discipline, innovation and productive leadership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


The senator made the call while delivering the convocation lecture at the university’s 18th
Convocation Ceremony, themed “Harnessing Nigeria’s Potential: Strategies for Sustainable
Development.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Addressing graduating students, Dafinone challenged them to become solution providers
capable of transforming Nigeria’s abundant human and natural resources into sustainable
national development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


“We must drive productivity through stronger institutions, a disciplined culture of
execution and sustained investment in our people,” he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He advised members of the graduating class to remain focused, disciplined and committed
to excellence, noting that national development depends largely on responsible leadership
and consistent hard work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


The Vice-Chancellor of DELSU, Professor Samuel Ogheneovo Asagba, reaffirmed the
university’s commitment to producing graduates equipped with the knowledge and
character required to contribute positively to society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The convocation ceremony attracted university administrators, traditional rulers,
government officials, alumni and family members who gathered to celebrate the
achievements of the graduating students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Senator Dafinone congratulated the graduates and encouraged them to become
ambassadors of the university wherever they find themselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
