{"id":974,"date":"2026-07-12T21:35:20","date_gmt":"2026-07-12T20:35:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mediaconversation.com\/?p=974"},"modified":"2026-07-12T21:35:21","modified_gmt":"2026-07-12T20:35:21","slug":"delsu-sug-week-begins-with-colourful-campus-rally","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mediaconversation.com\/?p=974","title":{"rendered":"DELSU SUG Week Begins with Colourful Campus Rally"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>By David Otobo<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The 32nd Administration of the Students&#8217; Union Government (SUG) of Delta State<br>University (DELSU), Abraka, has officially commenced the 2026 SUG Week with a<br>colourful rally across the university campus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>The rally, which started from the SUG Secretariat, attracted hundreds of students from<br>different faculties and departments who participated in what organisers described as a<br>celebration of unity and campus solidarity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>According to the union&#8217;s publicity committee, the week-long programme is designed to<br>promote interaction among students through sporting activities, cultural exhibitions,<br>intellectual engagements and entertainment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>SUG officials urged participants to conduct themselves peacefully throughout the<br>celebration and demonstrate the values of responsible student unionism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong>READ ALSO:<\/strong><\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/mediaconversation.com\/?p=970\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"970\">Senator Ede Dafinone Urges DELSU Graduates to Build a Better Nigeria<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The organisers explained that the rally also provides students with an opportunity to relax<br>after months of intensive academic activities as the second semester gradually winds down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>Several students who participated in the procession expressed excitement over the<br>commencement of the annual event, describing SUG Week as one of the most anticipated<br>activities on the university calendar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Activities scheduled for the week include sporting competitions, debates, cultural displays,<br>concerts and other recreational programmes aimed at strengthening unity within the<br>university community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By David Otobo The 32nd Administration of the Students&#8217; Union Government (SUG) of Delta StateUniversity (DELSU), Abraka, has officially commenced the 2026 SUG Week with acolourful rally across the university campus.
